Student Work
In this section, Dr. Fox models a systematic process of data analysis, using student answer sheets from the Yopp Singer Phoneme Awareness Test to reinforce the concept of "redo, review, and reteach."

First, he helps the group understand how to look at this student work in a systematic way and then asks them to group the students for instruction based on the evidence found in that work.

Then he asks the group to identify demographic variables that might affect instruction and reminds techers of the need to think through flexible, temporary groupings based the nature of support needed by individual students.

He reinforces the concept of using demographic variables as an explanation, not an excuse, and asks the group to identify what Megan should think about in terms of instruction.

Last, Dr. Fox reinforces the value of collegial discussion to select appropriate instructional strategies.
